Fairways and Bluewater Resort, Boracay

We stayed at Fairways and Bluewater resort over the Easter Holiday weekend. When we got dropped off outside the resort’s barrier by the South West Tours bus service we were greeted by security guards at the front gate who took our name, checked us off their list and escorted us to the lobby via a golf buggy. Despite arriving late at midnight, the lobby had full staff who were quick to grab our bags and escort us to the front desk. We were then offered a complimentary cordial drink on arrival and the staff took our deposit, ID, gave us the wifi passwords (which you pay a small amount for) and checked us in. And then to top it all off, our room was upgraded from a Premier room to a Junior suite and we were shown to our new huge room! The rooms are massive and pristine with white walls and floors, glossy wooden furniture and huge bathrooms (sizes may obviously vary depending on the room type). Our bed was a massive king size bed and our room had a sliding door that led straight onto the golf course. The room is stocked with toiletries that are renewed everyday when the cleaner comes, a mini fridge, a menu for the restaurants in the resort, a television, safe, huge cupboard and storage space and a telephone.

With our stay at Fairways and Bluewater we had a free buffet breakfast which included a western station with bacon, eggs, beans, cereals, porridge etc, an array of fresh fruits, pancakes, french toast, muffins, an asian station etc etc. As the resort is so big, it is extra handy that there is a free shuttle service that takes guests all around the resort (this runs 24 hours) and also takes guests into the centre of Boracay to D’mall (this runs every half an hour). There was always plenty staff at hand who used walky talkies to communicate to the shuttle drivers to come and collect you and take you to where you wanted to go on or off the resort.

The resort itself has many facilities which make it quite hard to leave and explore Boracay as the resort itself is astounding. Firstly,

Lapuz-Lapuz Private Beach

The Resort owns a private beach with white sands and clear waters. There are plenty of sunbeds and a drink/food service that can be brought to your sun lounger.

5 Pools with swim up bars

All guests have access to the 5 pools and hot tubs available. They have music playing and a swim up bar which made it ideal for pre drinking before a night out in Boracay! Each villa has a swimming pool and hot tub located pretty much outside of their room which means you always have easy access to a pool, however you can go to any of the pools to sunbathe and swim at. One of the pools is an infinity pool with an amazing view of the beach!

Activities & Facilities

They have a selection of activities including: zipline over the golf course, ATV, buggy cars, horseback riding, cable car, jet skiing, banana boating. Obviously the main reason most guests stay is the 18-hole golf course as the resort is known as a golf resort. Other facilities include a Clubhouse, souvenir shop, spa, meeting rooms, ballroom, convention hall, a gym, housekeeping and room services and laundry services

Overall, our stay was amazing! We definitely recommend staying here in Boracay if you are looking to stay on the quieter end of the island but still be able to get into the busier central stations with ease.

Thank you Fairways & Bluewater!
